A wooden bridge leads through the reed belt, and is ideal for walkers or cyclists to observe the fauna in the biotope.

Both Monticolo Lakes can be easily reached on foot or by bike from Hotel Girlanerhof. In summer, a lake and hiking bus operates between Monticolo and Girlano.
